LA CASA DEL GUARDA / THE GATEHOUSE

¿La casa del guarda o la casita de Hansel y Gretel?  Eso mismo me pregunto  cada vez que la tengo delante de mis ojos. 

The guard house or cottage Hansel and Gretel ? That's what I ask myself every time I see it.

Wallking through the park, not everything turns out to be a normal park, if you get into it , after seeing a mythical carousel , you can find this house as Hansel and Gretel in the story.

En este lugar pasé muchos momentos de mi infancia y por supuesto siempre me recordará a cuando era niña. Hay muchísimos lugares emblemáticos en Toledo y y con un gran valor histórico, los cuáles aparecen en las guías turísticas. Sin embargo, a nadie se le ha ocurrido hablar sobre esta entrañable casita recubierta de un corcho que parece simular a dos diferentes tipos de chocolate. 

Here I spent many moments of my childhood and of course it will always  remember me when I was a child. There are many buildings in Toledo and great historical places. However, no one has thought to talk about this lovely little house covered with a cork that seem to simulate two different kinds of chocolate.

A su lado, hay un pequeño estanque dónde antiguamente estaban los patos. Recuerdo de niña haberles dado migas de pan mientras me recreaba en mundos de fantasía observando.

Beside , there is a small pond where ducks were formerly . I remember to have given bread crumbs to them while I recreated my fantasy worlds.


Siempre se ha dicho que es la casa del guarda del parque y hacerla así un gusto personal, pero quién sabe en realidad cómo fue construida y porqué motivo. Viéndola te puedes imaginar muchísimas cosas sobre su verdadera historia a lo largo de los años.

It is often said that it is the gatehouse of the park and he made it a personal taste as well , but who really knows how it was built and what was the reason?. Looking through it , you can imagine many things about the true history across the years.
